Prado Dog Training Facility is 14 miles from host hotel and one street back toward the highway from the RV/camping location. From the host hotel, go west on Temple Blvd. Turn right on Valley Blvd. and merge onto the 71 South for 11.46 miles, exit 4/Butterfield Ranch Rd. Go left over the fwy. Butterfield Ranch Rd. becomes Euclid. Turn right at the first street/dirt road. The dog training facility is on the right of Euclid. You will notice the archery range and Olympic shooting ranch on your left.
The Prado Dog Training Facility is 585 acres in the Chino basin. Here you can hold hunting, herding, tracking, dock diving and lure coursing trials. The Prado Dog Training Facility is 14 miles from the host hotel and less than a mile from the RV facility at Prado Regional Park (next entrance before highway).
*PARK ADMISSION - IMPORTANT *
Entry to the park is $15 per person or per married couple, which includes up to 2 dogs. Each additional dog is $3, children under 16 are free. There is no field rental fee. We show proof of insurance and the field is paid for by the attendees’ entrance fees. The people who run the facility have to pay the county per capita for the entrants.
The ISWS ASFA trial will be held on Sunday, in conjunction with SCIHC AKC Field Trials. The roads inside the facility are dirt and not heavily traveled. The speed limit on all roads inside Prado is 10 mph for the safety of the dogs training within the facility. Please observe the 10 mph speed limit at all times. Please pick up after yourselves and your dogs and please be mindful that most dogs and people in California are not used to cigarette smoke.
Please make every effort to qualify your dog and give it the gift of experience prior to entering the national specialty field trial.
If you have a dog that is not entered in the national specialty show and you would like to practice or qualify, SCIHC is holding lure coursing on Saturday. If you would like to qualify, we will post a link to their premium if qualifying is offered, AND you would need to notify the trial secretary in advance and have a by-dog. To practice, you would need to sign in on the sign-up sheet at the trial secretary's table. With the SoCal clubs, CQ's are held before the trial and practices are usually run in between the pre-lims and the finals at the break. The field trials are the first priority and practices may be forgone to ensure the trials finish in a timely manner.
